Ha Giang, Tonkin 1900’s.
A long time ago, lived a small kingdom in the Northern provinces of Vietnam, recognized by both China and Vietnam. It stretched from the Dong Van district all the way to the Northwestern provinces next to the borders of China and Laos. The king was fluent in Chinese and French. When Vietnam split into two, North and South, Ho Chi Minh dared not even to attack the small Kingdom. The king eventually passed away and the kingdom was lost forgotten.
The remaining family now resides in California.
